How We Control Risk

Risk is not managed at the end of a project. Focus controls it at the beginning.

 Focus Engineering does not proceed on undefined inputs. When drawings are incomplete, tolerances are ambiguous, or assembly interfaces are unconfirmed — those gaps are identified and closed before scope is issued.


 We will identify what is confirmed, what requires clarification, and what needs to be resolved before fabrication begins. 

EVALUATE

We ensure all technical specifications are complete, accurate, and suitable for manufacture.

Client-supplied drawings and specifications are reviewed in full before pricing is issued. Dimensions, tolerances, material grades, surface treatments, and assembly interfaces are assessed. Where inputs are incomplete, ambiguous, or contradictory — specific technical queries are raised and resolved before scope is issued.


This prevents dimensional non-conformances and assembly interface failures caused by fabricating or machining to undefined inputs.

validate

We lock in scope and align stakeholder expectations.

Scope is formalised in an Offer Document. Inclusions, exclusions, delivery terms, and technical requirements are defined and agreed by both parties. Nothing enters production until the Offer Document is accepted.


This prevents scope misalignment, budget variations, and programme disruption caused by undefined or informally agreed scope.

optimise

We solve your problems before they become problems.

Materials, tolerances, and production methods are reviewed before execution begins. Where improvements are identified — alternate material grades with better availability, tolerance adjustments for machining efficiency, simplified fabrication sequences — they are proposed with technical justification and confirmed against functional requirements before any change is made.


This prevents avoidable cost and programme impact caused by production methods that were not reviewed before execution.

execute

We align your engineering intent to deliver with control, precision and accountability.

Procurement follows confirmed specifications. Material compliance is verified before entering production. Fabrication, machining, and assembly are carried out in-house under controlled process management. Each stage is inspected for dimensional accuracy and specification compliance. Factory Acceptance Testing is conducted prior to dispatch where required.


This prevents non-conforming components, failed installations, and post-delivery rectification costs.
